What is self storage and how does it work?
Self storage is a service offering flexible, do-it-yourself storage for domestic and business customers. We provide clean, dry, individual assess codes for entering the storage buildings, access to which is available free of charge seven days a week*. Your storage room is locked with your own padlock ensuring that only you have access to your goods.
What are the Payment Options?
You can pay your monthly rent online from our web site with a credit card, or you can pay at the office with cash, check, credit card, or at our ATM.
Why do I need my own padlock?
You need your own padlock to ensure that you are the sole key holder for your room. As a website customer we offer you a padlock to purchase.
How much does it cost to store my things with you?
The cost of a storage room depends upon the size required. We suggest that you consult our on line space calculator or speak to a member of our staff to determine the optimum storage for your requirements. A price can then be quoted on the correct size room. At AmeriStor we have rooms ranging from 5X5 to 10X25 and prices start from as little as $50.00 per month.
What is included in the price - are there any hidden extras?
The price you are quoted by our staff includes your storage charge rates. You will need a padlock to secure your room and you can purchase optional contents insurance if you wish.
How often can I have access to my goods and how much does it cost for access?
We offer unlimited access to your goods seven days a week, so you can add or remove items from your storage room whenever you require. Access is FREE at AmeriStor during our long opening hours 6am-9pm 7 days a week. Additional 10.00 a month you will be able to access 24 hours a day.
Can I move in today?
Yes, a member of our staff will fill in our simple one page storage agreement with you, (this takes approximately 15 minutes) and then you can move your goods in straight away. You can also use our ATM to rent 24/7 at the office entrance.
What are your opening hours?
Our reception opening hours are:
Mon-Fri 9:00AM-5PM
Sat 9:30AM-4:30PM
Sunday 9:30AM - 4:30PM
What sort of security do you have?
24 hour CCTV located both inside and outside the main building monitoring all entrances & exits
A sophisticated alarm system
Coded electronic gate access to the building accessible only with your own personal code
Do I have to give you notice to leave?
We only require ten days notice of your intention to vacate your room. Notice can be given in person, in writing, by fax, or e-mail.
What can I store?
You can store almost anything in our rooms. The only exceptions are:
Living items such as animals & plants
Hazardous materials such as flammable liquids and explosives
Items that could decompose such as exposed foodstuffs
Unauthorized or illegal goods such as firearms etc.
